Alan Kyerematen, the Movement for Change’s founder and leader, has stated that he is extremely confident in his chances of winning the December elections and that he will provide a surprising outcome.
Alan feels he has connected with the public because his campaign centered on appealing to the concerns of common Ghanaians. He says his message is connecting with voters in ways that traditional parties may not completely understand.
What Alan refers to as a nationwide organic support wave is the source of his optimism. After a recent tour to Accra’s markets, he spoke to reporters about the energy and joy he witnessed personally, especially from those he met in person.
He maintained that there are hardly a million devoted NPP supporters and advised against extrapolating rally and election-related crowd sizes as an indicator of the true number of NPP supporters.
“You can see the euphoria, the organic love that the ordinary people are showing towards me. And so there is going to be a big surprise in December. At any rate, I was a founding member of NPP.
“I know that the NPP does not have more than one million committed voters. Don’t be fooled by the numbers. The numbers that you find during elections do not represent the reality” he emphasized.
