Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has promised to abolish national service for all Ghanaians if elected President in December.
Every graduate is required to perform two years of forced national service, during which they will be assigned to any region to carry out their assigned duties.
During his speech today at UPSA-Ghana, Dr. Bawumia offered his audacious ideas for fixing Ghana and stated that his government would allow any student to choose to participate in national service.
“National Service will no longer be mandatory and students will have the option to decide whether to do national service or not. This will also encourage companies to go to the campuses to recruit annually”, he emphasized.
He considers this to be one of the most important instruments for quickening Ghana’s development.
Under the heading “Ghana’s Next Chapter: Selfless Leadership and Bold Solutions for the Future,” Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia presented his vision for the country and urged Ghanaians to cast their ballots for him to be the next president.
