Former National Democratic Congress leader Mr. Yaw Boateng Gyan, has advised former president John Dramani Mahama against betting on himself to win the 2024 elections.
He believes that Mr. Mahama has a better chance of winning this election, so he shouldn’t sabotage it.
Speaking on Okay FM’s “Ade Akye Abia” show, he clarified that if the former president loses the election, Ghanaians will not pardon him.
“There is no doubt that Ghanaians are suffering, and everything points in the direction of the National Democratic Congress winning this year’s general election, and I believe that if the NDC and its flagbearer, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, do things right, then I can assure you that the NDC will win the 2024 elections,” he said.
He went on to say that the NDC is bringing in more seasoned personnel at this point to assist in the campaign process.
“Everyone needs to get involved; there are people who are ready to assist John Mahama to win the elections, but I don’t think they will automatically turn themselves in if you don’t invite them to help in the campaign,” he added.
He continued, “The NDC and its leader cannot fail in 2024; this is a must-win election.”
Nonetheless, Mr. Boateng Gyan was pleased with the New Patriotic Party’s campaign team roster.
He thinks the NDC should take a hint from this and field a respectable campaign team that will enable them to accomplish their ultimate goal, as the list appears to have everyone who matters in the NPP on board.
