Businessman, Mr Samuel Adongo popularly known as Sammy Adongo, has disclosed that he will contest as a parliamentary candidate for New Juaben North constituency in the Eastern region on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
To him, it is time for electorates to vote for an NDC candidate to help change the face of politics in the New Juaben North Constituency.
Speaking in an interview with Nhyiraba Nartey Solomon of Bryt Fm, Sammy Adongo affirmed that he is coming to change the history of the NDC in Constituency with policies and programs that seek to improve livelihood of constituents when given the nod.
‘‘I just need the opportunity to contest as a lawmaker for New Juaben North and am not contesting because of my selfish interest. I am coming to fight for the development of the Constituency’’ he disclosed.
He indicated he will be happy if party executives offer him the opportunity in the upcoming parliamentary primaries adding that he will bring development and transformation if he is elected as an MP.
Sammy Adongo urged the members of the NDC in the constituency to unite themselves to vote the party into power in the upcoming 2024.
The National Democratic Congress is poised to win the presidential seat and take over many parliamentary seats and defeat the ruling government in the upcoming general elections.
Meanwhile, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is also determined to break the ‘8’ as some cabinet ministers have resigned with presidential ambitions.
The New Juaben North Constituency office of the NDC in the Eastern Region has positioned itself to win the parliamentary seat again with some top politicians.
