In Ghana’s forthcoming general election of 2024, Alan Kyerematen, a presidential candidate, has made audacious claims that, should he win, he would turn the country into a paradise.
Speaking to participants at the Sunday Easter Convention at the Church of Pentecost Dr. Wyatt Assembly, Mr. Kyerematen—who describes himself as the creator of the Movement for Change and a transformative leader—promised significant reforms under his direction.
Mr. Kyerematen passionately addressed the assembly, drawing comparisons between his vision for Ghana and the biblical promise of paradise, “When God touches your heart and you vote for Alan Kyerematen, a transformative leader, then I can assure you, as our Lord Jesus Christ promised the thief on the cross that he shall be in paradise with him, you shall also be in paradise when I come into power.”
After losing the party’s presidential primary to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Minister of Trade left the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and expressed his goals for Ghana.
Unfazed by this defeat, Mr. Kyerematen has unveiled his expansive Great Transformative Agenda (GTA), which he hopes would reduce youth unemployment and improve the state of the country.
As he runs for president in the next election, Kyerematen hopes to win over voters with his promises of dramatic transformation and wealth.
