Yaw Buaben Asamoa, a former director of communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has revealed that he is convinced that Alan Keremanten will win the 2024 presidential election.
According to Mr. Asamoah, NPP delegates were not permitted to select their preferred candidate to serve as flagbearer for the 2024 elections.
“That is why I am convinced Alan will win this election. Because voters have evolved faster than the NDC and NPP. What they need is not the messaging coming out of these parties.”
He claims that one of the candidates had a biased vote count.
“The import of skewing the election is that there wasn’t a genuine choice. Delegates were not given the room to select a person of their choice… it means that the person that the party has brought may not necessarily reflect the choice of voters in Ghana,” he said.
He stated that there were three reasons to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s candidacy, one of them being the NDC’s claim that the NPP is an Akan party and the need to dispel that belief.
He said that the NDC’s dread of Bawumia is another leg, as is the fact that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia includes the religious community—Muslims and Zongos, for example—which the public believes works against the NPP.
Furthermore, he did, however, say that he thinks Alan Kyerematen would win the general election since these three pillars do not reflect the desires of the Ghanaian people as a whole.
