The National Elections Task Force, comprising all security agencies and led by the Ghana Police Service, engaged with political parties to discuss strategies for maintaining peace and security before, during, and after the general elections.
In his address, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare commended the political parties for their continued trust and confidence in the security services.
He assured them that the security agencies are committed to maintaining order and will engage, de-escalate, and use force where necessary, without compromising national peace.
A representative from the Electoral Commission also participated in the discussion.
