Justin Kodua, the general secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged President Akufo-Addo to quickly reorganize his cabinet.
During the party’s annual thanksgiving service, which took place at the party headquarters, Mr Kodua made the claim that the NPP needs new faces to advance it toward its goals.
“If you are tired, resign and leave so the party can retain power,” Kodua said, expressing concern about the behavior of some appointees whose acts are hurting the party’s popularity.
In particular, he asked Ministers, CEOs, and MMDCEs who are feeling worn out and have not been reorganized to think about stepping down instead of impeding the party’s advancement.
“If you are a Minister, a CEO or an MMDCE and you have not been reshuffled and you think you are tired, resign, don’t sabotage the party.”
Kodua underlined the necessity of reforms inside the administration in his appeal to the President, saying,
“It is time for some changes in the government so we get some new faces to continue. We believe that if we get new appointments, we will be able to retain power in the next election.”
