The Eastern Regional Secretary for the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Baba Jamal, has disclosed that the party has prepared enough for the upcoming 2024 general elections.
According to him, the party has started its groundwork to enable the party to win the forthcoming general elections as Ghanaians are weeping due to the poor administration of President Akuffo-Addo led administration.
“Ghanaians are fed up with the NPP government,’’ Baba Jamal told Nhyiraba Nartey Solomon of Bryt Fm.
He explained that the NDC will rescue Ghanaians from bad leadership when voted to power in the coming 2025.
Baba Jamal affirmed that Ghanaians are ready to vote massively against the New Patriotic Party in the general elections, adding that NDC will win more parliamentary seats in the region and the country at large.
Baba Jamal revealed that many people have shown interest in the NDC as some have picked their nomination forms to represent the party in the various constituencies as a members of parliament.
The party has put on hold parliamentary primaries in 23 constituencies across the country.
Four candidates have so far picked nomination forms to contest the presidential primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The presidential aspirants are; Former President John Dramani Mahama; Mr Kojo Bonsu, a former Mayor of Kumasi, Mr Ernest Kwaku Kobeah, a businessman; and Dr Kwabena Duffuor, a former Minister of Finance.
The Party opened nominations for both presidential and parliamentary primaries on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.
