John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of national democratic congress has made his intense approval to Ghanaian electorates to reject the NPP and rather vote for the NDC upcoming election of December 7 for economic transformation.
According to Mr Mahama, the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government has mismanage the economy leading to high standard of living and also leaving many Ghanaians in financial distress.
He emphasized the best way of overcoming these mismanagement of the economy is by voting for the NDC in the upcoming election.
Mahama disclosed this during a political rally in the Savannah Region as part of his campaign tour.
The former President accused the NPP of lack of accountability and economic incompetence, pointing out several challenges currently facing the country.
On the issue of the performance of the cedi, Mr Mahama stressed that the worst stand of the local currency has led to increment of prices of goods since Ghana is an import driven economy.
“This is the government that does not accept it’s fault. Despite all that have happened in this country, they don’t accept that they have created economic hardship. They don’t accept that they have mismanaged the economy. They still go and sit on the radio and say, we are the better managers of the economy.
“Better managers of the economy, you took the dollar from GH¢4 to $1 to GH¢17 to $1 and you say you are better managers of the economy. You took cement from GH¢24 per bag to GH¢110 per bag and you say you are better managers of the economy” the NDC flagbearer lamented.
