The Electoral Commission of Ghana has indicated that the Biometric Verification Device performed effectively during Saturday’s general elections.
At a press conference after end of polls, the deputy EC chair Samuel Tettey revealed that almost 95% of polling centres were closed at 5pm as expected.
According to the EC, it is enthused with the performance of both electoral officers, journalists and other stakeholders for their contributions to the success of the polls.
Mr Samuel Tettey was impressed with the media for their cooperation and charged them to ensure any result that is put out is credible for public consumption.
He, therefore, charged the public and the media to contact the customer service department or its website for any inquiries needed.
