David Yaw Boakye, Bono East Regional Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party has described as very pathetic how the opposition National Democratic Congress is using the “24-hour Economy” promise to deceive Ghanaians just to win political power.
According to him, former President John Mahama sincerely knows within Himself that this so-called “24-hour Economy” is not practicable in every corner of our Country at this time but because Ghanaians are desperate for jobs; He is intentionally using that slogan to lure them to win the 2024 general elections.
He was speaking at the acclamation ceremony held to outdoor Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah (MP) as the 2024 unnopposed NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Techiman South Constituency.
David Yaw Boakye reiterated that the NPP’s Free SHS, Digitalization Drive and other Life-changing Policies which benefit every household irrespective of your geographical location or background is what Ghanaians need and not any shambolic “24-hour Economy”.
For his part, the MP for Techiman South Constituency Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah who doubles as a Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development pleaded with all NPP Members and Sympathizers to unite and preach the good works of the President Akuffo-Addo/Dr Bawumiah Government as it is highly possible to Break the Eight in the forthcoming polls.
The acclamation ceremony which brought together several NPP Stalwarts from far and wide saw Hon. Anthony Abayifaa Karbo (former MP for Lawra), a former NPP National Youth Organiser coming to represent the Office of the Vice President Alhaji Bawumiah who in his address pleaded with Nananom and the good people of Techiman to give Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah a second term because Techiman is fortunate to have such a quality political material as their MP.
