Eleven Wonders Coach Ignatius Osei Fosu Reveals How He Frustrated Kotoko
Head coach of Techiman Eleven Wonders Ignatius Osei Fosu has revealed that his strategy that suffocated Asante Kotoko was to block their full-backs which resulted in his side getting the draw in Accra.
The Porcupine Warriors were held to a 1-1 draw by Eleven Wonders at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday in their 2020/21Ghana Premier League opener.
The Porcupine Warriors were huge favourites going into the match after some exciting signings in the off-season but the Techiman-based side made them look ordinary.
“We knew how they will play; they go to the wings and cross the ball. So we wanted to give them the backline play and then we depend on them at high areas” he said after the game.
“So if you look today, none of their full-backs could cross one single ball into the box and that is what we wanted to do and once you cut them, the team is collapsed and that has happened,” he said.
