Auxerre manager, Christophe Pélissier has heaped praises on Ghana’s midfielder Elisha Owusu, after explosive display on his debut.
The midfielder started and lasted 71 minutes as his side inflicted a convincing 4-0 away win over Chamois Niortais, to progress to the Round of 16 of the Coup de France on Sunday.
Goals from Matthis Abline, Gaëtan Perrin, Nuno Da Costa and Gaëtan Perrin was enough for the Ligue 1 side to triumph over Niort.
“Elisha Owusu showed why we had taken him.” I really liked his state of mind.” Christophe Pélissier said after the game.
The 25-year old joined the Ligue 1 outfit last Monday on a two and half year deal from Gent, ending his three-year spell with the Belgian side.
