On Sunday July 30, 2023, His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, The Asantehene, arrived at the Piarco International Airport (South Terminal).
The King is in the country for his official visit to Trinidad and Tobago and as guest of honour for Emancipation Day celebrations, hosted by the Emancipation Support Committee.
He was greeted by Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne; Minister of Trade and Industry, Senator the Honourable Paula Gopee-Scoon; Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, Senator the Honourable Randall Mitchell and Minister of National Security, the Honourable Fitzgerald Hinds.
The Asantehene will be in Trinidad and Tobago until August 5.
