Spezia forward Emmanuel Gyasi has revealed his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo, saying he is an inspiration to the younger generation.
The 26-year-old shared the pitch for the first time with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner in his sides 4-1 home defeat to Juventus.
The Portuguese international on his return to the field bagged a brace for the Old Ladies on Sunday after recovering from the coronavirus pandemic.
Gyasi who had a little chat with Ronaldo after the game disclosed what he told him.
“After the game, I had a little chat with Cristiano Ronaldo before leaving the field. I told Ronaldo that he is an inspiration to me and almost all footballers’ especially young ones,” Gyasi told AshesGyamera.com
“He was happy to hear those words from me and smiled. He then said thank you very much, my brother, and advised me to work hard and keep pushing for my dreams since everything is achievable in life,” he added.
The Italy-born Ghanaian striker has been outstanding for his side in the ongoing Italian Serie A season.
