On 7th November, 2023, Energy minister Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh led officials of the Volta River Authority (VRA) and the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in their routine visits of some of the affected communities of the Akosombo and Kpong Dam Spillage.
In his remarks, the minister reiterated government’s continued commitment to providing the needed relief interventions to the affected communities.
In this regard, the delegation donated relief items to be distributed to affected communities.
He stated “We continue to empathize with these affected communities and thus, continue to draw the needed synergies with the relevant stakeholders for a well coordinated government response”.
