H. E. Irchad Ramiandrasoa Razaaly, Ambassador of the European Union in Ghana paid a courtesy call on the Information minister Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah at his office last Thursday.
Among other things, the two engaged extensively on adding more value to Ghanaian cocoa and coffee both by large scale processors and small scale confectionery producers.
Hon. Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah indicated that Ghana and the EU will continue to align on what is in the mutual interest of our people.
Ghana has for sometime now been urged to produce cocoa devoid of the negative practices that comes with it, that is; child labour and recently pollution of water bodies due to the activities of illegal mining.
There were rumours earlier on possibility that cocoa from Ghana would be banned from the international market but that has been rubbished by the Information minister.
