Interim coach of Asante Kotoko Johnson Smith says his outfit will not take any match lightly as he set sights to turn things around for the Porcupines.
The Porcupine Warriors beat Dreams 1-0 to win their first match following the dismissal of coach Maxwell Konadu.
Kotoko, under the guidance of interim coach Johnson Smith, produced an improved performance to secure the victory at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.
The win means Kotoko have ended a troubled weak on a high note.
The former Karela United trainer who won his first game in charge of the team says they will not take any game lightly going forward.
Speaking at the post-match conference, Smith observed their clash against Dreams FC wasn’t a bad one and has indicated that any of their matches is like a final.
“The mentality was to pick the three points since I was playing my first match. So we did all that we could for this” he said.
He continued that, “It wasn’t a bad game because any team that plays Kotoko tries to make a case. Any of our games is a final match, we won’t take any match lightly”
“The difference is about psyching and nothing else because I cannot use just a day to change the team” he added.
