The Ejisu District Court in the Ashanti Region has granted former Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender John Kuffour bail to the sum of GHC50,000 with two sureties for biting off her girlfriend’s nipple.
The Court presided over by Mr Kwaku Baah Frimpong, also ordered the families of Kuffuor and the girlfriend to jointly assist the victim to undergo an urgent surgery and for the accused to report to the court again in seven days.
Prosecutor, Chief Inspector Emmanuel Appiah Kubi, explained that the complainant, Dennisa Hagan, 36, who is a hairdresser has been fiancée to John Kuffuor for the past six years.
However, the two parties had a row in their relationship. The prosecutor narrated that on the 1st of January, 2017 Kuffuor visited Dennisa in her house to find out if she was still interested in their relationship. He said the complainant who failed to give an answer moved to her kitchen and she was followed by Kuffuor to demand an answer to the question.
The complainant accidentally pushed Kuffuor who was on his knees trying to find answers to the question.
As a result, Kuffuor held her dress as she attempted to leave the kitchen and in the process, Kuffuor bit her left nipple.
