Two(2) persons parading as National Security Operatives attached to the Ghana Revenue Authority(GRA) have been arrested by the Kasoa Police Patrol Team after they were spotted taking monies from owners of unregistered vehicles in Kasoa.
The suspects, Daniel Osei Kwame and Nana Osei Kwame are currently in the custody of Kasoa Police.
The suspects were spotted on the road in Kasoa area extorting monies from drivers they claimed were driving vehicles smuggled through Togo hence evaded tax.
According to Bryt FM’s Correspondent, Eric Owusu Amponsah, Some of the victims became suspicious about the conduct of the suspects hence informed Police leading to their arrests.
A search on the two suspects revealed expired Identity Cards of GRA bearing their names.
