Delegates of the New Patriotic Party have been commended for a sign of maturity shown before, during and after the National Delegates Conference held over the weekend.
The party’s Elections Committee has also received commendations for a successful Conference to elect New leaders.
Kingsley Ohene Amoako, popularly known as the Flagbearer, host of ‘Delivering On Our Promises’ political show on Homebase TV made the asssertion when taking stock with what transpired at the just ended conference.
He indicated that the smooth and peaceful nature of the exercise affirm the democratic credentials of the NPP as compared to the other political parties.
“In fact, the successful conduct of the conference has proven the NPP believe in democracy as it has always been. You see, there were some people and anti-media houses who were looking for the negative side to report on. But luckily, the NPP has demonstrated that it is a democratic party” Mr. Ohene Amoako stated.
He called on the leadership of the party to get on the ground and work in hand with the grassroots to ensure victory for the NPP come 2024.
He said “in order to break the ‘8’ in 2024, the new Executives must work on enhancing unity and the party whilst candidates who lost the elections should also come on board. It is possible to break the ‘8’ but needs dedication and hardwork”.
