The Municipal Chief Executive of Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality, Hon.. Paul Andoh stopped in Ntakam on Monday, May 29th 2023 to see the chief and the locals.
In a brief speech, the MCE showed his deep appreciation to the community and the leaders for their prayers regarding his nomination and confirmation.
“The plans for a visit to the paramount chief of Anhwiaso Traditional Area and the National House of Chiefs President had been going forward, but he was currently out of the country, so the visit to one of the Divisional Chiefs will be done instead” he stated.
The MCE reported that engineers from India had been diligently mending the plantain processing plant so that the factory could start production as part of the government’s 1D1F program.
The MCE promised that the setup would be finished within two weeks.. The only obstacle was a transformer, but people are working hard to get one as soon as possible.
He also mentioned that the path from the junction to the community would be paved as part of the Kojina-Chirano-Etwebo road project.
He finally solicited the support and prayers for the government and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The MCE finally added that letters have been circulated to the various paramount chiefs in the Municipality for the continuation of the tour on Wednesday, 31st May 2023.
On his part, the Chief of the community, Nana Kwadwo Somiah II, thanked the MCE and his entourage for the honour done to him.
He promised his unflinching support for the MCE and the MP. Nana Somiah, however, requested the following assistance among others: Support for the purchase of a Mower to weed around the CHPS Compound, Adequate stocking of the CHPS Compound to give it a facelift, and Construction of Teachers’ Quarters.
Others were: Slots for employment in the public sector, electricity extension, Dust Bins for refuse collection, bulbs for street lights revamping of Cocoa Mass Spraying Exercise, and access route to Subiri through Wiakyiren.
