MAB international Hospital, a private Health facility at La Lapz-Nyame in the Greater Accra is Accused of Killing their Daughter, Dorothy Nana Abah Maison through medical negligence.
According to the family, the daughter was rushed to the hospital last Friday 19th February, 2024 for medical treatment.
Upon their arrival, the Doctor according to report ordered the Nurses not to move to patient so, any medical service to be given on her admission bed because, she can only survive under Oxygen.
The deceased mother, who double as the Ankobeahemaa of Larteh Kubease Traditional council, Nana Otomo Topra, sharing her ordeal to DL says, the nurses after realizing the absence of the Doctor, defied the medical orders given by the doctor and moved Dorothy Nana Abah Maison ( the deceased) outside the facility for scan.
In their Assertions, The patient Collapsed on the way due to the absence of Oxygen.
The Bereaved sadly Accounted how a nurse pronounced their daughter dead in the absence of the Medical Doctor.
Nana Otomo Topra maintained that, without her notice, the Nurses tightened up the Mouth, hands and Legs of the Patient claiming to be dead just after 15 minutes of Pronouncing her dead and pushed her into a Grounded Ambulance parked at the Premises.
The family alleged that, they saw their Daughter slowly breathing whilst wrapped up in the Parked ambulance.
The family Doubting the death pronounced on their daughter, the Called the National Ambulance service to come to their aid in order to refer her to Korle Bu or 37 military hospital but after calling the National Ambulance, the nurse who pronounced the lady dead on twice attempted to the Ambulance drivers not to come because, the lady is dead at around 8:30am.
The deceased Mother, Nana Otomo Topra lamented how the nurses at the MAB international Hospital delayed them from 8am to 2:30 midday at the Facility whilst the daughter was still wrapped in dumped in a stationary Ambulance with all the glass windows closed with no air passing through for almost 4 hours.
She says when they got to 37 military hospital around 1pm same day, the doctors at the 37 military hospital told the family the lady died just 30 minutes ago.
On this Grave account according to the family, the MAB international Hospital killed Dorothy Nana Abah Maison.
They are therefore appealing to the State to help them find Justice for that Medical Malpractices.
After that, the Twafohene of Larteh Kubease Traditional council, Barima Kwame Asah Tawiah who is the Auntie to the Deceased added that, the case is already scripted before their lawyer to seek legal interpretation into the Case.
It should be taken into records that, DL fm after getting the report proceeded to the Hospital to hear from both sides on the Purposes of Fairness as the ethics demand before the story is Aired, The Hospital’s administrator, Dr. Osom told Okogyeabour Ocran that, He has nothing to tell us and therefore, the family can go ahead to make their Claims public because, they are not the only family whose daughter is dead.
