Ghana has moved four places up in the latest FIFA rankings following the teams’ two straight wins during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars defeated Mali and Central Africa Republic to revive their World Cup qualification hopes in early June.
This has aided the Black Stars to climb up in the rankings released on Thursday. Ghana are now moved to the 64th position in the World but remains out of the top ten countries in Africa, sitting 12th spot.
The latest ranking will be used for the draw for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Johannesburg on July 4.
2022 World Cup semifinalists, Morocco remains on top of the ranking on the Africa continent with Senegal, Egypt, Cote D’Ivoire and Nigeria, completing the top five.
Meanwhile, world champions Argentina are top followed by France and Belgium in the top three places.
