Running mate to NPP’s flagbearer, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has apologized sincerely to Ghanaians over his comments about Ghana’s first president Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
In a statement issued to that effect, Dr. Opoku Prempeh indicated his earlier comments was not meant to denigrate Dr Kwame Nkrumah or any other president but was based on Akufo-Addo’s governance impact on Ghanaians.
The former Manhyia South MP on Tuesday at his inaugural ceremony indicated that no president not even Dr Nkrumah come near the achievement of president Akufo-Addo, a statement that has been seen as disrespect to Ghana’s president for his enormous role in the country’s independence among many developmental projects he accomplished.
