A house at Koforidua Asokore Kuma in the New Juaben North Municipality in the Eastern Region was on Tuesday destroyed by fire, rendering families homeless.
The fire, which started around 8:46 pm destroyed personal belongings of the families.
Items destroyed included television sets, home theatres, mattresses, fridges, sound systems, clothes and wardrobes among others.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
The victim, Sulemana Bashiru said he was not at home but when he was called he quickly rushed to the house and saw smoke on top of the building.
“Initially I thought it was just one room burning but when I got closer, the guy who locked the door reveals” be added.
