There was a near-tragic incident Monday when the vehicle of the New Patriotic Party’s Okere Constituency Youth Organizer, Daniel Osew, popularly known as Fusion, caught fire while traveling to Akwatia.
Mr. Osew and others were on their way from Asamankese to Akwatia when smoke was seen billowing from the car’s engine.
The fire, which started from the engine, quickly spread, but the swift intervention of passersby prevented the vehicle from being completely consumed.
No casualties were recorded.
The incident happened less than 48 hours to the much-anticipated Akwatia by-election.
