The fire outbreak started at about 11:30 pm when most of the students were sleeping. The fire burnt to ashes mattresses, provisions in trunks, uniforms, books, movies, and all other personal effects.
The wall of the affected rooms has deep cracks resulting from the devastation of the inferno.
According to the Principal of the school, Engineer Bernard Forson, 8 students suffered minor injuries of which they were sent to the hospital for treatment but have been treated and discharged Tuesday morning.
He appealed for urgent government intervention to reduce the impact it will have on children’s education.
