The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, rescued three persons involved in a road accident at Adukrom Waterworks Junction in the Eastern Region.
According to the GNFS, the Akropong Fire Station received a distress call at 1:28 p.m., and within 11 minutes, a rescue team led by ADO I Gilbert Amoako was at the scene.
The victims had been trapped in a Nissan Isuzu (GS 746-17), which veered off the road and fell into a ditch after a suspected brake failure. They were successfully extricated and handed over for medical attention.
The accident vehicle, loaded with foodstuffs and beverages, was later released to the Akropong Police MTTD for further investigation.
