A flash flood has washed away portion of a bridge on Akosombo to Tortibo road cutting -off the community .
Vehicles are not able to cross the bridge.
Passengers including teachers and nurses disembark from vehicles at both ends of the bridge to continue the rest of the journey either by foot or motorbikes.
The situation is inconviniencing farmers, and traders transporting large quantities of farm produce.
Assembly Member for Tortibo, Jonathan Ayamdo A.K.A Zaragoza said the bridge has been in deplorable conditions for some time now but the Asuogyaman District Assembly failed to respond to the exigency of the situation.
Commuters are appealing for urgent reconstruction of the bridge to avert total collapse of the bridge.
Meanwhile, the Asuogyaman District Engineer together with officials of the National Disaster Management Organization has visited the scene for assessment.
