Parliamentary hopeful for the Ada West constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress, Richard Kumadoe has emphasised that food security is a national security priority.
He has, however, stated the need to streamline local and national food production, distribution, storage and import-export policies in Ghana, and in many parts across Africa.
According to the security consultant, food sufficiency will get people out of poverty-crime issues as most many turn to such behaviours as a result of difficulties in their livelihood.
Mr. Kumadoe is also calling for improving farming technologies that would greatly boost higher levels of food production, promote industry growth and enhance living conditions and income levels of farmers (producers and retailers).
He added that agribusiness remains his priority and called for support from people in the area.
He stressed “Ada West District is on my mind. Let’s do it together. It’s achievable, and doable”.
