Ghana International Mubarak Wakaso says Black Stars’ inability to win trophies is as a result of football politics.
According to him, anytime there is a change in government being it the New Patriotic Party (NPP) or National Democratic Congress (NDC) they try to use the Black Stars to fight each other politically which brings down the spirit of the team.
The former Deportivo Alaves midfielder added that these political parties came to meet the Black Stars team and for that matter should not involve politics in the national team.
This response from Mubarak Wakaso settles the controversy many Ghanaians have as they believed that, the Black Star is influenced politically.
Wakaso has been an integral member of the Black Stars and was part of the squad that reached the finals in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
