On Monday, 9th June, 2025, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP) received the Open Letters of the Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Burundi to the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Mr. Edouard Nduwimana.
The presentation marked a reaffirmation of the shared commitment to fostering stronger ties between Ghana and Burundi.
The Minister congratulated the Ambassador-Designate on his appointment and commended Burundi for its resilience and efforts toward national stability following years of civil unrest. He expressed Ghana’s interest in deepening cooperation through the exchange of ideas, technical assistance and mutual capacity-building.
H.E. Mr. Nduwimana expressed Burundi’s readiness to partner with Ghana and highlighted investment opportunities in the areas of health, education, and tourism.
He also noted Burundi’s ongoing efforts to strengthen democracy and welcomed support and collaboration in that regard.
