The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in collaboration with the Ghana Boundary Commission with funding from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission in Ghana, commissioned the rehabilitated Leklebi-Kame Health Centre on Thursday, 8th August, 2024 at Leklebi in the Volta Region.
The Chief of Leklebi-Kame, Togbe Akatsi, in his welcome remarks expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Foreign Ministry, Ghana Boundary Commission and the ECOWAS Commission in Ghana for the kind gesture and was hopeful that the health facility will enhance health care delivery in the community.
The Director of Free Movements at the ECOWAS Commission, Mr. Siaw Boateng, commended Ghana for being the first member state to utilise ECOWAS funds for the rehabilitation of a health facility. He was optimistic that the initiative would be replicated in other regions of Ghana for the benefit of the people.
In his remarks, the Commissioner General of the Ghana Boundary Commission, Major General Emmanuel Kotia commended all the stakeholders for their contributions and urged them to continue collaborating on projects that will benefit the local community and promote cross-border movements.
