Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema has revealed that his predecessor Edgar Lungu purchased a luxury presidential jet for $190 million.
He said that the president shouldn’t have spent that much money on a plane. Hichilema made the remarks when he met heads of state-run companies.
While in opposition, Hichilema campaigned against what he called rampant corruption by Lungu.
Since Hichilema won last August’s election against Lungu, the former president’s wife, son and daughter have all faced summons on corruption allegations.
