The Communication Director for Abetifi Constituency Aduanaba Breck Kwaku Agyekum has described the free Senior High School (FSHS) policy as one of the audacious, laudable and biggest policy taken by any government under the Fourth Republic.
According to him, the Free Senior High School Policy implemented by the government has helped eradicate poverty in the country.
He said the policy has seen an increase in enrollment in second cycle schools, he has reiterated, has great prospects for the country.
He continued the policy on a larger scale has brought enormous relief to parents and guardians and has also created an opportunity for many children to be educated.
Speaking to Kwahu-Atibie based Unity Fm, Aduanaba Breck Kwaku Agyekum said Ghanaians in the near future will attest and laud the government for Free SHS and its implementation.
“When someone completes second cycle school, that person ultimately and automatically becomes open-minded in acquiring basic skills that can propel his or her life,” he added.
He said the policy got into the public space, it got tongues wagging. Among the experts, educationists and legal brains, issues about funding and quality made many conclude that it was highly impossible to implement such a policy but according to him Nana Addo defy all odds to make it worked perfectly.
By the policy, every Ghanaian entering any SHS in any part of the country will enjoy free tuition, admission fee, textbooks, library fees, science centre fees, fees for ICT, examination fee, payment of utility fee, and boarding and meals.
