Bright Asempa Tsodidey, Director of Communication at the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), has stressed the necessity of wearing Fugu every Wednesday to promote Ghana’s rich culture around the world.
He made this statement in an interview on Bryt Adekye Mu Nsem with Kwamina Sam Biney on Bryt Fm, underlining the wearing of Fugu on Wednesday as part of President Mahama’s reset agenda.
According to Mr. Tsodidey, the President’s Agenda seeks to showcase Ghana’s distinct culture, gastronomy, and apparel to the international community.
“We must display everything about Ghana to the rest of the globe so that outsiders understand our positive qualities. The benefit to the government is that it symbolizes our national pride. The benefit to individuals sewing the Fugu is that it will help them create more and make more cash.” He said.
He emphasized that Fugu is not just for Ghanaians but has international potential, which the Ghana Tourism Authority is capitalizing on to promote Ghana’s culture.
