Hajia Mariam Dzifa Mohammed, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary hopeful for Amasaman Constituency, has admonished all the ranks and files of the party, especially the Amasaman Constituency to smoke peace pipe ahead of the 2024 general elections to ensure victory for the NDC.
The astute politician indicated that, it is needless for the party’s hierarchy to have banter among themselves and cited the recent alleged scuffle between Honourable Theophilus Tetteh Chaie, Greater Accra NDC Regional Secretary and Honourable Ashie Moore, Greater Accra NDC Regional Chairman, which resulted in the Amasaman Constituency Executives’ inability to partake in both the Regional and National Executives Elections of the party.
Hajia Mariam Dzifa Mohammed further called on all party executives and faithfuls to join hands in unity to solve all issues to pave way for the Constituency Executives elections and that of the Parliamentary.
“Fellow comrades, let’s come together in unity to rescue Amasaman constituency and our dear nation from sinking”.
“It’s good to be reminded that we’re comrades and we have one collective agenda; to win back our seat and get back to power. This assignment binds all of us” she stressed.
She stated “Our internal politics (choices and rivalries) shouldn’t in any way veer us from the ultimate goal. As part of our arrangements, internal elections are necessary to further strengthen our leadership front. With these in mind (and as a reminder), it is needless to be fighting ourselves; the real fight is against our opponents the NPP. In our quiet-time let us consider these things”.
“DO or DIE is not an internal fight but rather, a fight to rescue Ghana and Amasaman Constituency from bad leadership”.
Hajia Mariam Dzifa Mohammed again, pleaded to the regional executives and the national executive council of the NDC to expedite the Amasaman constituency executives elections as the aspirants are running out of campaign resources due to the delays.
She further used the opportunity to announce her intention to contest the Amasaman Constituency NDC parliamentary primaries when nominations are opened.
Hajia Mariam Dzifa Mohammed, made these statements after passionate appeal to the effect of the above-mentioned were made by some of the branch and constituency executives during her visit to the constituency on Saturday 21st January, 2023.
