The Ghana Association of Certified Registered Anaesthetists has paid a courtesy call on the Acting Director-General of the Service to acknowledge his contributions to Neuroanesthesia education in the country.
Led by Dr. Sylvanus Kampo, Head of the Department of Anaesthetics and Intensive Care at CK Tandem, University of Technology and Applied Sciences, the team presented a citation in his honor and sought his support in making anesthesia studies more attractive to nurses.
In expressing his gratitude, the Acting Director-General reaffirmed his commitment to mentoring and training students, emphasizing that despite his new role, he will continue training and performing surgeries – his true passion.
He also highlighted the country’s shortage of anesthesiologists and the need for more trained professionals in the field.
