University of Ghana chapter of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) is accusing some leadership of Organised Labour of being in bed with government over the intended strike slated for Thursday.
The chapter is therefore insisting on embarking on the intended strike despite the decision of the mother body.
Speaking after the call off of the strike on BRYT Adekyee Mu Nsem on Thursday, Secretary of UG-UTAG chapter, Dr. Jerry Joe Harrison expressed the actions of some members who refused to allow the normal dialogue procedure to go on when Organised Labour met government delegation on Wednesday.
Dr. Harrison told the host, Kwamina Sam Biney expressed disappointment at the last minute stand by Organised Labour and insisted something fishy.
He, however, stressed his outfit will review the strike action as when government shows commitment to fighting the menace of illegal mining popularly known as galamsey.
He was also of the view banning activities of small scale mining for a review will also go a long way to help restructure mining regulations in the country
