The Spanish Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Javier Gutierrez, led a Spanish delegation to pay a working visit to the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Lariba Zuweira Abudu.
The delegation comprised members of the Foundation of Women for Africa with its Director General, Dr. Teresa Langle de Paz.
The meeting discussed matters of bilateral interest between Ghana and Spain in relation to gender related matters.
Hon. Lariba Abudu reiterated Ghana’s commitment to ensuring that issues of gender is mainstream in all sectors.
The Women for Africa Foundation is a private Spanish, Non-profit entity created by the former Vice President of Spain, H. E. Maria Teresa Fernández de la Vega to contribute to the development of the African continent through the support and education of its women.
Present at the meeting was the Chief Director for the Ministry, Dr. Afisah Zakariah.
