The Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Hon. Herbert Krapa has sworn in a thirteen (13) member Committee to Steer the National Export Development Strategy.
He tasked the committee to provide the necessary support needed from their various agencies to ensure that the objective for the formulation of the strategy will be achieved.
The Committee which is chaired by Ministry of Trade and Industry, Moti – Ghana Chief Director, Mr. Patrick Nimo is expected to guide and oversee the implementation of the strategy.
The members of the committee include, Dr. Afua Asabea Asare, CEO of Ghana Export Promotion Authority, Mr. Yofi Grant, CEO of Ghana Investment Promotion Centre – GIPC, Amb. Mike Oquaye Jnr, CEO of Ghana Free Zones Authority, Ms. Delese Mimi Darko, CEO of Food and Drugs Authority Ghana, Mr. Lawrence Agyinsam, CEO of Export-Import Bank Ghana – EXIMBank Ghana, Prof Alex Dodoo CEO of Ghana Standards Authority, Mr. Mark Badu-Aboagye, CEO of Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ms. Kosi Yankey-Ayeh, CEO of Ghana Enterprises Agency and Ms. Marjorie Abdin of FAGE Ghana.
The strategy spearheaded by the Ghana Export Promotion Authority was formulated in collaboration with about about 125 organizations in the public and private sector with an objective to rake in about USD 25.3billion from Ghana’s export sector.
