Institutions in the country have been advised to acquire fire extinguishers to safeguard properties and prevent any unforeseen disaster.
According to DO3 James Akowuah, Atwima Nwabiagya municipal fire officer, most fire disasters are as a result of bad electrical wiring which triggers fire disaster and therefore said the acquisition of fire extinguishers would be supportive before fire personnel’ intervention.
Mr. Akowuah deduced that government institutions and individuals made a huge investment in their buildings and properties but the acquisition of fire extinguishers becomes difficult and encouraged them to get access to protect any form of a fire disaster.
He again made a passionate appeal to the public to be vigilant of mishandling fire into bushes as government and private developers have invested a lot into farming and hence need to be protected.
