Angel carbon, the President of the National Association of Graduate of Teachers (NAGRAT) has bared his canines at Rastafarians in the country suggesting that they should establish their schools if they want their children to keep their dreadlocks in the Senior High School (SHS) level.
According to him the rules and regulations at the Senior High School forbid students from having dreadlocks as they spend three (3) years in the school.
He made this statement during a press conference in Accra as he reacts to the viral news of the decision by the Achimota Senior High School to admit two Rastafarian students into the school unless they cut off their hair.
Mr. Carbonu insisted that Achimota School did not refuse to admit the students, adding that the school only spelled out the rules and regulations of the school to the parent and the student.
“We expect that if you want to be in that school, you obey the rules and regulations. The rules and regulations of an institution are not chosen and picked by individuals, they become standard and ought to be obeyed by anyone who wants to access the school,” Mr. Carbonu asserted.
