Ghana Football Association (GFA) securing a headline sponsor for the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season has taken a nose-dive following the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
The disease has led to the suspension of the 2019/20 league season until further notice by the Ghana Football Association following the directives given by the President of the Republic.
Due to this, it’s believed the football governing body in the country will face difficulties in securing a great sponsorship offer as companies will find it difficult to invest in an activity which won’t bring forth income since the season has been halted indefinitely.
With the government laying a ban on foreign travels in the country, it will be quite difficult for the GFA to negotiate foreign investors deal.
