A 12 year old orphan and pupil of Boadua Presby JHS 1 has sadly joined the heaven choir in the early hours of Ghana’s 68th Independent Day Cekebrations.
The unfortunate incident happened early Thursday morning in Boadua, a suburb of Akwatia, as the little innocent boy fell into a Galamsey pit full of water close to his house.
Regardless of the numerous call by CSOs for the need to deal with illegal mining and the need for the presidency to halt the activities of in the country, some individuals are still mining indiscriminately and illegitimately in Akwatia, Kade, Oda , Asamankese, Kyebi, Ayensuano and other communities.
The perpetrators have reportedly armed themselves to face any uncertainiies or wrath from the government.
The body of the little boy has been deposited at the St. Dominic morgue at Akwatia as investigation begins.
