The Black Stars of Ghana has dropped in the latest FIFA ranking following their disappointing results in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
Ghana, who are four-time champions of the AFCON has moved three places down globally while maintaining their spot in Africa.
The West African powerhouse has moved from the 70th position to 73rd, while they sit 14th on the African continent.
The latest drop is as a results of the Black Stars poor showing during the 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Sudan.
Ghana fell short to Sudan in the double-header and are on the verge of failing to qualify for the CAF’s biggest tournament for the first time since 2004.
The Black Stars played out a 0-0 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium, followed by a 2-0 defeat to their opponent at the Benina Martyrs Stadium in Libya.
Argentina remains top of the ranking with France, Spain, England and Brazil completing the top five.
In Africa, Morocco sit at the summit and are being followed by Senegal, Egypt, Nigeria and Algeria in that order.
