The Ghana Catholic Youth Organisation (C.Y.O) has Elected new National Executive Board Members to govern the Organisation from 2023 to 2025.
The National Executive Board is responsible for the proper Management and Administration of the business of the C.Y.O and proposes policies, draw programmes, call conferences and convene the meetings of the National Management Council.
It shall every year lay before the National Management Council forapproval; the National Annual Report,the Draft Programme of work for the ensuing year and an audited financial statement of account for the preceding year and a form of budget for the ensuing year.
At the end of Election held at Koforidua during 60th Annual Management Council Meeting, National Chairman went to Senior Crusader John Abane from Archdiocese of Accra, Vice Chairman position went to Snr. Cr. Martin Wiedaar from Obuasi Diocese, first Vice Chairman is Snr. Cr. Micheal Nii Aryeequaye
from Seckondi Takoradi Diocese, Second Vice Chairman is Snr. Cr. Prince David Kwame-Kumah from Keta- Akasti Diocese and Assistant National Organizing Secretary is
Snr. Cr. Francis Asante (Goaso Diocese).
Other leaders are Snr. Cr. Aaron Moses Aaso Zebkonaa from Konongo Mampong Diocese as National Internal Auditor, Snr Cr Gabriel Nartey from Koforidua Diocese as Co-opted member, Snr Cr. George Nego from Archdiocese of Tamale as Co-opted member, Snr Cr Monica Achuadem from Archdiocese of Tamale as Co-opted member and Snr Cr. Jennifer Tornyenyo from
Archdiocese of Cape Coast as Co-opted member.
Recently, National Catholic Secretariat appointed Senior Crusader Florence Awaitey from Archdiocese of Accra as National Organising Secretary.
National Organizing Secretary is full time job directly responsible to the National Executive Board for the day to day administration of the entire C.Y.O Secretariat at Adoagyiri in the Eastern Region.
The C.Y.O is an Organization which taking the parish as its
base, and without regard to social class or profession, provides for young people a Christian Community lifeorder to prepare them for active co-operation in building a living church and a
better world.
Further, it is the objective of the organization to inspire, direct and guide the natural creative qualities and desire of young people by promoting recreational, educational, cultural and
religious programme that will adequately meet their physical, mental and spiritual needs.
