Ghana coach, Charles Kwabla Akonnor has downplayed juju perception at the Black Stars camp, entreating the public to treat it with the needed contempt it deserves.
Over the years, there have been concerns about some Black Stars players resorting to juju to fight against each other while in camp.
This has scared some European born players of Ghanaian origin to refuse national team invite as disclosed by the Black Stars Management Committee Chairman, George Amoako some time ago.
Akonnor after announcing his 30-man squad for the two friendly matches against Morocco and Ivory Coast next month claims he has not experienced such an act at camp since taking charge of the team.
“I do not have an idea of such claims, I often have Zoom meetings with my players and no one has ever claimed to have been a victim of such acts,” he said.
“For all I know, my players do not involve themselves in these things and that is all I know about it,” he added.
Akonnor and the Black Stars are preparing for their upcoming friendlies against Ivory Coast and Morocco scheduled for next month.
